Welcome, I’m Ashley!
I am a photographer who was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and now reside in Vancouver, BC. When I was eighteen years old, I decided to pack my car and move to Vancouver to pursue my dream of attending the Vancouver Art Institute. I had never been away from home before, which was scary and uncertain, but this adventure has turned out to be the best decision I have ever made. I studied graphic design and have taken courses in photography, while furthering my education by working with people I respect in the industry. I have realized that working in photography is more than a job or career, but rather it has become my life and passion, and I won’t stop mastering my craft and expanding my vision. I want to capture the moments that you will cherish forever. Photography is something that can bring you back to specific moments and the people who you were with; like the sound of your wife reciting her vows or your child running around with a smile that seems to never end. I found the love in capturing all the heart clenching, teary-eyed, beautifully genuine moments in everyday life.
I now find myself married to the great love of my life and we are living in Langley, BC with Toby, our King Charles Cavalier. Outside of photography, I love travelling, doing yoga, and anything to do with sharing good champagne and food with great company. It is hard to imagine a better scenario than being cozied up with my family in a cabin enjoying each other and the special moments we have in this life.
